My landlord’s been really good about my letting someone stay in my apartment while I’m gone to look after my things and care for my cats – we’re not using the sub part of that word anymore – while I’m sailing the seven seas, or so I thought until he raised my rent! Of course the one has nothing to do with the other…
So I’m paying $30.00 more a month and I’m not even there reaping the benefits!
I was expecting a rent increase, it’s been two years since my last one, but I also expected to be there to counter said increase with the request for a new stove to replace the 25 year old stove I currently have but I’m not going to do that now when I won’t even get the privilege of using it while it’s still new, even though I don’t think Matty is a cooker…
What do you think I should do? Should I ask for the now appliance via long distance or should I wait until I get home? And for that matter what happens if I extend for another nine months and miss all of 2011 in 1R?
I’m certainly getting ahead of myself here, but, these are the thoughts which run through my head early in the morn when I have the time to blog…

A $30 a month rent increase in 2 years? Sorry, that’s nothing-My mortgage goes up that much or more just to cover property taxes! When you get back to your abode I’d ask for a new stove, so you can enjoy it in all it’s newness!
In rereading this post it seems like I’m complaining about the $30.00 increase, I’m not, I’m complaining about the timing of the increase…
I know when I’ve got a good thing going and my apartment is one of the best things I’ve got going for me…
